Yet what awaits her is something far more powerful and malicious, and it’s the first of many monsters yet to come.
In this isolated Toronto garage, Anna will confront her bittersweet childhood memories, her fractured relationship with her twin brother, and her long-lost dreams of superpower.

Yes, I’m describing the opening to Chaos Calling by E.M. Williams. This fantasy action novel kicks off The Xenthian Cycle and was named a fantasy finalist in 2025 Canadian Book Club Awards. I have the great pleasure of turning the epic garage fight scene that opens the series into a 16-page one-shot comic issue with E.M.W’s blessing and input.
